Fellowship Programs
The Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) was introduced by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) - GATE scheme in 2002. This allowed GPAT-qualified pharmaceutical graduates and GATE-qualified engineering graduates to pursue research at CSIR Laboratories.
Scholarships in ME/M-Tech
To promote the master education in India, the Scholarship/ Assistance will be Rs 12,400/- per month to GATE qualified student and paid from MHRD. Financial support is provided to candidates so that they can easily afford their needs during their course and thesis work.
Integrated Ph.D.
A few colleges allow an integrated Masters along with a doctoral programme immediately after your graduation in addition to a stipend of Rs. 28,000.
Foreign Study
Foreign universities like the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and a few technical universities in Germany recognize GATE score as criteria for admission into their Masters and Ph.D. programs.
